1. What is Unemployment
When someone is actively looking for work and is considered to be employable, they are said to be unemployed. People who are working in the workforce but do not have the right job are part of this group.

2. Main Factor of Unemployment's
2.1. Temporary Unemployment
This is unemployment brought on by people taking their time to transition between jobs, such as recent graduates or those changing careers. An economy will always have some frictional unemployment because the data isn't always accurate and it takes time to find jobs.
2.2 Systematic Unemployment
This happens as a result of a mismatch in skills on the job market, which can be brought on by:
- Workplace immobility This is a reference to the challenges of learning new skills that are appropriate to a new industry and technological progress, for example, a farmer who is out of job may find it difficult to get employment in high tech businesses.
- This is a reference to how challenging it can be to relocate in order to find employment; for instance, while there may be opportunities in London, it may be challenging for parents to find acceptable housing or child care.
- Technological Development. There will be a decline in demand for some forms of labour that robots have substituted if labor-saving technology develops in particular industries.
2.3. Voluntary unemployment
This happens when people decide not to accept available jobs and instead decide to stay unemployed. People might prefer to continue receiving benefits rather than find employment, for instance, if benefits are generous. Since they have chosen to wait until they find a better job, frictional unemployment is also a form of voluntary unemployment.
